What is StickMen?

We are a Cigar and Whiskey Lifestyle Blog and what makes us unique is that we cover the Cigar and Whiskey scene in our neighborhoods across the globe. In our world, the StickMen and Women (the cigar smoking public) are the celebrities. When someone in your crew says … “let’s go grab a stick” that is a StickMen moment; a time for unwinding from a long day or week, with one simple goal in mind; to “Puff, Sip, Chat and Repeat” (PSCR) and the first three items do not necessarily have to be done in that particular order… but it is the order yours truly prefers.

We will ask all of our members, shop owners, managers… What’s your PSC?

• What do you Puff? – Your Favorite Cigar
• What do you Sip? – Your Favorite Spirits to pair with that Cigar
• What do you Chat about? – Your Favorite Topic of conversation

What is your PSC? Got it? – We’ll test you on this later! (Just kidding!)

A StickMan is often a mature gentleman or woman (we love StickWomen!) who enjoys a good cigar, good whiskey (or whatever you prefer), and great conversation with friends and/or strangers (who matter of factly often become friends). Let me state for the record, we do not associate a specific age number to the “mature” status. I’ve met 25-year-olds that I can PSC within a MUCH more pleasant fashion than the “mature” 50-year-old. Just don’t be an a–hole!

After visiting no less than a couple hundred cigar lounges over the last 15 years, I’ve learned that the industry is lacking a single resource that brings the lifestyle home to the local level. It’s the local cigar lounge that has evolved into a place where everyday men or women, from diverse backgrounds, gather because they love a good cigar, love good spirits, and value time spent with friends and strangers the same. Those who want to know, where, when, how, and what time to show up for their next smoke.

What can you expect from StickMen?

• Cigar and Whiskey Etiquette – We sometimes just don’t know!
• Cigar and Whiskey Reviews – For the common person…. We don’t do the snob thing around here.
• Cigar and Whiskey Tip and Tricks – For beginners and a refresher for the experienced!
• Cigar Lounge Reviews – Let me state for the record that there is no such thing as a bad cigar lounge. They start at Good, there’s Better and finally the Best. These are great places to relax and it’s why we are here!
• Weekly profiles of Cigar and Whiskey Lounges
  • Video Interviews with the Owners and Managers
  • Written Articles about the “vibe” of every lounge
  • Video and Photo Profiles of the StickMen and Women who make the lounges special
• Cigar and Whiskey Events Calendar – If you’re anything like most StickMen, you have a home base, your own version of “Cheers” that becomes your favorite place to PSC… All good, but every once in and while you might want to branch out…. Come to us for the latest/greatest information in your area. Also, look out for details on our monthly “StickMen Smoker” event series to kick off later in 2020!
• Event Photos and Video – When possible, we plan to be at as many Cigar and Whiskey events that we’re able to cover.
  Interviews with Cigar and Whiskey Industry Experts – We’re pretty good (we know enough to be dangerous) but we’re not experts so it’s good to hear from the pros from time to time!
• StickMen Cigar Accessories – We will have some of the latest cigar accessories, beginning with our “StickMen Starter Kit” consisting of our preferred Cigar Travel Case, Torch, and Cutter.
• You! – Join our community and help make it special by interacting with the StickMen and eventually posting your own “StickMen” happenings. Also, invite us and we will be there!

Honestly, this blog is truly new shit and much of it we will figure out as we go. Some of the above will evolve, go away, and be replaced by new stuff. The one constant focus is that we want to be a source for the Cigar and Whiskey Lifestyle lovers. As our community evolves, we will evolve and grow with it. So if you enjoy a good stick, with a good whiskey (or and other drinks for that matter), this will be the place for you to interact with like-minded individuals and be educated a little bit more on what’s going on in the lifestyle.
